Dear Families of Children's Dentistry of Longwood,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to your safety to our community.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

Our office has been continuing to monitor the situation regarding COVID-19. Based on new information and guidance from our state leadership, we are taking additional action to protect our patients, their families, and our staff.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment.

  • Face Coverings - Per Seminole County Executive Order 2020-30, patient’s and their family will be required to wear face covering. If you don’t have
  • COVID-19 Screener - Our office will request you fill out a form before appointment with some screening questions. You'll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. Temperature's will be taken of patient's and their families.
  • Staff Training/Monitoring - Upon arrival, each member will be screened and monitored for any flu-like symptoms. Any employee experiencing symptoms will be asked to stay home and be properly monitored and return to work once they are no longer symptomatic. Team members will then change into their own required PPE while following all safety procedures.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and the play area is closed.

You can help protect your family and our Team by:

  • Only bring those members of the family essential for the visite.
  • Sanitizing your hands immediately upon arrival to our office.
  • Make sure to practice Social Distancing while in our office.
  • Wearing a mask at all times while in the office, at least you as the parent.
  • Complete all your paperwork online before getting to the office.

If your or your child have tested COVID 19 positive, your child's appointment will be scheduled 3 weeks after everyone in your house is symptom free.

If you or any member of your family has experienced recent COVID symptoms we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment. Our staff will be happy to assist you to find another time that will work for your schedule.

Thank you for your continued support. We will continue to stay up to date with all recommendations and added precautions. Our goal at Children’s Dentistry of Longwood is to provide exceptional care for your children and keep your family safe. Thank you for your help in this process. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of our staff prior to your upcoming appointment please feel free to call our office. (321) 295-7893.
